Making Envelopes
You may have your own printed cards from our first activity video, styrofoam prints or maybe you have some cards to mail but don’t have the correct size envelope. This activity will show you how to make any size envelope.
Foil Sculptures
Aluminum foil is only recyclable when it is in a ball 2 inches or larger. Think of a baseball or softball that a worker can easily grab while sorting through fast moving recycling on convyerbelts. Foil also holds it’s shape and can stick together without adhesive. While you collect enough for a large ball, check out these sculpture ideas.
Weaving Plastic Bags
This video shows you how to make your own plastic rope and looms at home. You can make homemade rope with plastic shopping bags. This activity shows a variety of looms to get creative with weaving different shapes and colors.
Styrofoam Prints
You can make a unique, homemade print with styrofoam. Choose a take-out container or a tray that was used to package produce or meat.
Thoroughly wash all styrofoam with soap and hot water. Once it’s dry, you’re ready to begin!
